Its launch on 10 Aug, 2009 was a special moment for all us who made it happen and for those who watched it.
Rajesh took the ownership and no one knew that it can turn so many people positively ON about GREEN when we all met for the first time.
After this meeting Rajesh handpicked people and all of us kept meeting daily almost for three weeks sharing our thoughts, talking over issues which concern us and moreover we got to know each other so well that we began to trust each other on certain set of skills/activities.
We did have few lunches together.
Back from Bangalore, for the first time in Pune I participated in any activity thatswhy I got an interesting opportunity to see how people here arrange things and do the planning for events. Its pretty amazing to realise how people from different parts of India react differently to similar set of situations.
Amar, Rajesh, Chinmoy, Ajit, Kedar, Anant, Deepak, Bhumika, Sylvia and me.........and Devanshu are the first set of GREEN PEOPLE.
Here is my understanding of these GREEN MINDS:
(Readers post comments....I need to verify)
Amar: DECENT is the word which comes to my mind, when I think of him. He has a rapid thought process with quick problen solving skills. I appreciate him a lot for his level of involvement with each and every detail of this launch.
Rajesh: More than anyone else I had interaction with Rajesh. Infact he was like a focal point for all of us to come back to again and again. He does an awesome job on identifying people for specific jobs to be done. And what drives chosen people to work for him is his high level of belief in them.
Whenever he saw someone speaking truth in the video shoot for Green Activities (like he did not brush today) or saw someone extremely organized like Ajit......I often heard him saying "I want him to be in my team" or "I wish they were in my team !".
Expressions like these speak a lot about his People-Passion and I know nobody realises it more than an entreprenuer.
Chinmoy & Deepak: Chinmoy is a vivacious person. His presence in a room can never get unnoticed.
We couldn't get enough of Chinmoy and Deepak, who were very busy with their work.
Ajit: He is a very methodical person. He likes to keep things organized. He did an incredible job on getting people to work for making huge numbers of posters and stickers. Thanks to his wife who supported him with painting for our green initiatives.

Kedar: I find him as a very responsible man. He was the man behind all the puntual emails, plants kept all around and helped Ajit on sorting of best green idea.
Anant: He was our SUPPLY CHAIN SPECIALIST. He knows very well on how to get things done at right time with optimal resources.
Wearing interesting expressions on his face he made us all smile looking at the video and carefree for event arrangement (as he always does that best).
Bhumika, Sylvia and Devanshu: These three wonderful people did the people facing jobs for Green-Community by asking them questions and getting a wonderful video done. People speak about them with high regards for their enthusiasm for life and its celebrations.
Sylvia accompanied me for compering. Initially I was lil worried, as I had to do the compering with someone who is known to be an admired stage artist here, but she somehow made me comfortable. It was really nice to be with her.
About me, I just made the t-shirts for all those who wanted it. For more on the VINTAGE GREEN TEES, check http://www.anupammishra12.blogspot.com/

The first green sticker is placed near switches. The next "GO GREEN" dangler is hanging from the lower decorative parts of MindTree's office building ceiling.
The house like sticker for the bigger open spaces are cut and drawn here, but painted at Ajit's home by his wife.
The green bird of first image sits on the desk of people who started first set of Green activities. And we want this green bird to sit in the desks of as many people as posible.
Next two images are the stickers on the desks of every person.
This is my version of MindTree Green Community Launch in Pune.
